Beef Strogonoff with Egg Noodles
- 1 lb sirloin beef seasoned with salt and pepper on each side
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp of margarine or butter
- 2 onions
- 1 pkt of mushrooms
- 2 tbsp of flour
- 3 tbsp of powdered or liquid beef broth
- 100 g of water
- 1 tsp of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup of cooking cream 35%
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme
- 1 pkt egg noodles
In the sauté pan on high heat the oil and half of the butter.
Sear the beef, cooking for about 1 minute and leave aside.
Chop the onion and mushrooms in the Quick Chef Pro or the power chef
Add the rest of the butter to the Pan and caramelise the onions the mushrooms for about 15 minutes, stirring from time to time.
Cut the beef into strips of about ¾ cm thick and put it back in the Sauté Pan, with the mushrooms and onion. Sprinkle with flour and stir.
Deglaze with water.
Add the beef broth, thyme and Worcestershire sauce
Leave to simmer for 10 minutes
Cook the noodles in the Pasta cooker – in 2 shots.
Add the cream and stir again.
Chop the herbs in the Chop’n’Prep and add to the mixture.
Add the egg noodles and stir again.
